    • Bunnies do not eat pellets except for when they are babies. Adult rabbits eat mostly hay. Do you have a place inside your house where this rabbit is going to live? Do you have a way to feed him lots of fresh hay every day? If not, then a rabbit may not be a good pet for you.
There is a lot to learn about a pet rabbit and you cannot learn it from the rabbit. You will need to read several books about rabbits to just begin to understand them. If you are asking me this question, I am sure that you have not read anything about pet rabbits. This is why I wrote my book.
I recommend that you do a lot of reading before you get a bunny. They are expensive high maintenance pets and so you need to know more about what you are getting into. To do otherwise, would be cruel and sad. Bunnies are very fragile and get sick very easily if not fed or cared for properly. You do not want to be the reason a sweet little bunny gets sick and dies, do you. If I were you, I would get a copy of my book and read it at least two or three times. Then I would find another couple books and read them, too. Then you might be able to know more about whether a bunny is the right pet for you. They are a 10+ year commitment. If you are looking for a pet who lives two or three years, please get a hamster or pet rat. Rabbits are intelligent and fragile and are not a good kids’ pet.
